Singapore, Aug 2022 – Hit Kdrama True Beauty’s heartthrob Hwang In Youp kicked off his first overseas Asia Fan Meeting tour right at Singapore’s Capitol Theatres on 30 Jul. The South Korean model-turned-actor shot to fame with the role of the charismatic and sweet Han Seo Jun in True Beauty and has also further affirmed himself as the rising star of South Korea’s entertainment industry with his recent works in Netflix’s The Sound of Magic and legal-romance drama Why Her.

Hwang In Youp started off his highly anticipated fan meeting by serenading HIYILYs (Hwang In Youp‘s fandom name which represents Hwang In Youp‘s famILY) with True Beauty’s OST It Starts Today in his deep and pleasant voice while donning an orange top that matches well with his bright smile.
Unlike most of his drama roles, Hwang In Youp presented a shy persona throughout his fan meeting which charmed the hearts of HIYILYs. Albeit shy, he was not reserved at all when it comes to providing fan service.

Hwang In Youp made a surprise walk around the audience which heated up the whole atmosphere as he wanted to be more up-close to his fans. Throughout the different segments of the event which comprises a Q&A session, games with fans etc., he gave away not only his autographed polaroids, and polaroid shots with fans but also constantly hugs, high fives and even a one and only couple item.
He also answered his fans’ fervent requests to perform the Okey Dokey dance (along with HIYILYs too!) which is a fan favourite from a scene out of True Beauty!

Hwang In Youp then ended the fan meeting with an OST from The Sound of Magic, I Mean It and teased his fans by keeping his next drama role a secret while promising that he’ll put his best into all his characters.
We wish Hwang In Youp all the best in his next acting role and we hope to see him back on our shores soon!
