This epic blockbuster is filmed at a budget of US$65 million, a record-breaking figure for a Chinese film.

DRAGON BLADE is a story set in 48BC during the Han Dynasty. Huo An (played by Jackie Chan), the Commander of the Protection Squad of the Western Regions, who protects China’s border and secures peace among warring tribes on the Silk Road. When a convoy of gold bearing a foreign insignia is discovered inside China, he is accused of treason and sent to the border as a slave laborer. With only a small group of his most loyal soldiers, including his right hand man, Yin Po (played by Choi Siwon), he must fight to survive in the prison camp. When a small army of Roman soldiers led by General Lucius (played by John Cusack) appears at the border gate, they outmatch the Chinese border guards. However when Huo An enters the battle, he single-handedly turns it around and earns the respect of Lucius. Among the Romans is a blind boy called Publius, the youngest son of Rome’s Consul Crassus. Crassus was assassinated by his ambitious eldest son, Tiberius (played by Adrien Brody), who is leading 100,000 soldiers towards the border gate, employing subterfuge to kidnap Lucius. This leads to a thrilling piece of history that has never before been told.

ONE packs a Punch with new legal thriller starring Kim Rae Won

Page-1-Image-1
FIRST & EXCLUSIVE: Get set for a pulsating legal drama starring Kim Rae Won and Kim Ah Joong

Singapore, 9 January 2015ONE will pull no punches in the New Year and will kick it off with the comeback drama of top stars Kim Rae Won and Kim Ah Joong. Boasting an electrifying plot, Punch is yet another impressive showcase of human grit and intensity from screenwriter Park Kyung Soo who helmed dramas such as The Chaser and Empire of Gold.

The pulsating legal thriller will follow the terminally-ill head prosecutor Park Jung Hwan (Kim Rae Won) in his final adventure. After a spade of unfortunate events, including the discovery of a malignant brain tumour, Park swears to right the mistakes he has made by exposing the dirty tricks of Public Prosecutor General Lee Tae Joon (Cho Jae Hyun). The title of the drama series is inspired by Park’s exigent attempt at salvation: the throwing of one final punch at injustice. Welcoming the change in the man is his ex-wife Shin Ha Kyung (Kim Ah Joong, Sign), who decides to join him in the mission. Will they succeed or will Park spend his last six months in vain?

Punch marks the return of both Kim Rae Won and Kim Ah Joong after three years away from the small screen. The former, who also stars in the upcoming movie Gangnam 1970 alongside Lee Min Ho, had reportedly lost weight to play the sick prosecutor. Playing the role of partner-in-salvation is the star of the critically-acclaimed comedy 200 Pounds Beauty Kim Ah Joong, who was last seen in romance-action drama Sign.

Punch is set to hit the television screens across Southeast Asia, starting 12 January, 8.55pm/7.55pm (JKT), first and exclusively on ONE.

Punch will premiere on 12 January on ONE, following the end of the current drama Secret Door. Airing on every Wednesday and Thursday, 8.55pm (SG/MY) and 7.55pm (JKT).
