Singapore, 2023 – NMIXX greeted their passionate NSWERS on a Friday evening, 23 June 2023 at The Star Theatre in Singapore. The six-member girl group who debuted just about a year ago visited Singapore as part of their first-ever global Showcase Tour. The dynamic girl group consisting of Lily, Haewon, BAE, Jiwoo, Sullyoon and Kyujin displayed their various charms during the showcase.

The showcase opened with their song, Tank from their debut single album, Ad Mare. The song highlights NMIXX’s stable live vocals complemented by their powerful dance moves. The girls came onto the stage with a strong but cute appearance, all clad in cropped tops and baggy pants. This was followed by their performance of their debut song, O.O. NSWERS filled the hall with their loud passionate cheers during the performance.

After their opening songs, Lily took on the role of the emcee throughout the showcase. Despite having only one Native English speaker in the group, the other members in the group tried their best to speak in English as well. All the members spoke very fluently in order to communicate better with their fans. During their introduction, Lily asked her members if there were any memories they would like to share with NSWERS while recording for their single album, Ad Mare. Haewon confidently volunteered to share how the choreography for O.O was very difficult initially but now she can do it even in her sleep as they have practiced it a lot.

NMIXX continued on to perform Paxxword and Just Did It from their extended play titled, “Expérgo”. After the performance, BAE briefly explained the song Paxxword to which Kyujin later on jokingly added that she needed the password to NSWERS’ hearts. The whole theatre then shouted in unison that the password is, NMIXX. Before performing their song, Young, Dumb, Stupid, the girls taught NSWERS their “Ding, Daeng, Dong” dance so that they could dance along. Lily then explained that the melody of the song is highlighted by the common nursery melody that is used in “Row your Boat”. The theatre was then divided into three sections to sing the song as a canon. The girls were satisfied with how NSWERS performed, hence they gifted them with covers of TT from TWICE and Hey Mama by David Guetta & Bebe Rexha. Their covers allowed them to show the variety of their charms. NMIXX is a versatile group that pulls off both cute and sexy. Their live vocals and rap for Hey Mama were definitely impressive. NMIXX also performed songs from their second album, “Entwurf” such as Dice and Cool (Your Rainbow).

Toward the end of the Showcase, the girls were told to look at the screen behind them as NSWERS had prepared a dedication video for them. When the members turned around, fans held a sign which read, “함께할 그모든 TIME NMIXX외 손을 잡아” Which translates to, “We’ll hold hands with NMIXX for all the time(s) that we’ll be together.” All six members were very touched by the event and hopes to be with NSWERS for a long time. The showcase wrapped up with performances of My Gosh, HOME, Love Me Like This from the album, “Expérgo”. The night concluded with a song in Mandarin titled, “Miss you 3000” by the band, 831. The girls also performed a remix of O.O and Love Me Like This before greeting NSWERS good night.’

Overall, the Showcase tour was very interactive and would indeed be fun for the NSWERS who attended. Not only did NMIXX showcase their talents with their live performances, they also proved to show a lot of love and care for their fans, NSWERS as well. The bond between the group and their fans is undeniable. It was an exciting showcase indeed.
