Singapore, 2024 – Get ready to be ‘shocked’, Lights! Following three sold-out nights in Seoul, K-pop boy group HIGHLIGHT will be bringing their Asia tour to Singapore. CK Star Entertainment is proud to present the final stop of their tour, “HIGHLIGHT LIVE 2024 [LIGHTS GO ON, AGAIN] IN SINGAPORE” on 8 September 2024 (Sunday), 7PM at Singapore EXPO Hall 7.

The group debuted in 2009 under the name BEAST and rose steadily to prominence thanks to their unique sound, self-producing talents, and captivating performances. In 2017, members Yoon Dujun, Yang Yoseop, Lee Gikwang and Son Dongwoon formed their own label “Around US Entertainment” to house the group, renamed HIGHLIGHT.

The release of the group’s second EP “Shock Of The New Era” (2010) was met with huge success. The standout track “Shock” (2010) peaked at number two on South Korea’s Gaon Music Chart (now known as the Circle Chart) and earned the group their first music show win on Mnet’s M!Countdown, skyrocketing the group’s popularity.

In May 2011, HIGHLIGHT released their first studio album “Fiction and Fact” (2011), which included the hit track “Fiction” (2011). The song was wildly successful and brought them to new heights. Till date, it has more than 37.5 million streams on Spotify, and the official music video on YouTube has more than 133 million views. The album was ranked as the fifth best-selling album of 2011 in South Korea, a feat for a group that was relatively new at the time.

HIGHLIGHT released their ninth EP “Can You Feel It?” in March 2017. The lead single “Plz Don’t Be Sad” (2017), an upbeat and lively song, dominated South Korea’s major music charts in the No.1 position, and garnered an impressive total of eight music show wins. The group’s latest release “Switch On” (2024) in March won them two major music show wins with the lead single “Body” (2024).

With 15 years of experience under their belt, HIGHLIGHT’s long-standing career is no doubt thanks to the unwavering support of their fans, known as ‘Lights’, or ‘B2uty’ (read as ‘Beauty’). Till date, the group has received 40 accolades, over 60 music show wins, and nearly 90 major industry nominations. Prominent wins include “Artist of the Year” at both the 2011 and 2012 Melon Music Awards, “Song of the Year” award for “Fiction” (2011) at the 2011 KBS Music Festival, as well as “Record of the Year” at the 2015 Seoul Music Awards.
