You will be returning to Singapore for the 2026 fan concert “GALAXY 1986.” How does it feel to reunite with fans here once again?

It’s been a really long time since we last met, and I’m already very excited. At the same time, I feel both sorry and grateful to the fans who have been waiting for me for such a long time. Since Singapore will be the final city of this tour, I hope we can spend a truly meaningful, passionate, and heartfelt time together, filled with deep conversations. I will do my very best to make this concert a precious memory for all of you.

What kind of emotions do you hope fans will feel after watching “GALAXY 1986” concert?

Through this concert, I hope to convey the sincerity and gratitude I’ve wanted to share throughout the long time we’ve spent together. I also hope it can be a moment that brings out the shared emotions we hold deep in our hearts. Since the time we’ve spent together has been so long, I hope that while watching the concert and while singing and listening to the songs together, many of the moments we’ve shared will pass by like a montage of memories. I truly hope it becomes a time where everyone leaves carrying many emotions in their hearts.

Your music has evolved noticeably over the years.  How would you describe the Kim Jae Joong of today compared to when you first debuted?

In the past, I think I made music wearing colors that someone else had created for me. Now, what feels very different is that the world we build together with my fans, along with the spontaneous growth and leaps we make, is overflowing. However, even within that, there is still the pressure that I must continue to grow, so in that sense, living with a constant sense of tension hasn’t really changed.

In your recent music, it seems like you’ve been expressing more of your own unique colors and emotions. What kind of themes or messages would you like to convey through the music you’re currently working on?

I’m currently working hard to present new songs again this year. Compared to last year, I’m thinking deeply about how to bring a different kind of freshness while delivering my own values and messages through my music. I believe that when you listen to the works that will be released this year, you’ll be able to experience a kind of freshness you may not have felt before.

After this fan concert, are there any new activities or challenges you would like to try in different fields such as music or acting?

Even now, I’m continuing to make efforts and pursue various challenges in different fields. However, rather than taking on something completely new, I think this might be the time to focus on continuing the challenges I’m already working on and doing my best to achieve results that we can all smile about.

Do you have a message you’d like to share with your Singapore fans who are eagerly waiting to see you at “GALAXY 1986”?

I believe I’ve been able to walk this path for the past 23 years thanks to all the fans who have supported me with their hearts. I will continue to do my very best to share even deeper and longer moments with you in the future. I love you!
