TREND-SETTING ‘4TH GEN’ K-POP GIRL GROUP STAYC TO STAGE FIRST WORLD TOUR IN SINGAPORE

The six-member group will perform for one-night only as part of their “[TEENFRESH]” world tour at The Star Theatre on 16 February 2024

SINGAPORE, 7 November 2023 —Rising  girl group STAYC—consisting of 6 members, SuminSieunISASeeunYoon, and J—will be making their way to Singapore for their inaugural world tour, titled “[TEENFRESH]”. Proudly presented by CK Star Entertainment, the show will take place at The Star Theatre on 16 February 2024 (Friday) at 7PM

STAYC debuted under South Korean entertainment label Highup Entertainment in November 2020 with title track “SO BAD” (2020) from their first single “Star To A Young Culture”, an acronym of the group’s name. As their name suggests, they hope to become a “star that leads the younger generation”.

The group invented and are champions of a new “TEENFRESH” genre in K-Pop—derived from a combination of the words “teenager” and “fresh” —and is aimed at bringing out the confidence of teenagers through their music that holds a strong core message of self-love and empowerment.

Even before STAYC’s debut, there was much anticipation as they were the first girl group produced by legendary K-Pop producer group Black Eyed Pilseung, who are known for being the ‘trustworthy’ hit-song-creators for legendary artistes such as TWICE, CHUNG HA, Apink and SISTAR.

Following their first single, the group went on to release increasingly successful tracks in the vein of their “TEENFRESH” concept: “ASAP” (2021), “STEREOTYPE” (2021), “RUN2U” (2022), and most recently “Bubble” (2023), all of which achieved peak chart positions within the Top 10 rankings on major Korean music charts.

Their music has also captivated a large audience globally: The hit song “ASAP” (2021) charted at No. 9 on Billboard’s K-pop 100 just 5 months into their debut, while “RUN2U” (2022) hit No. 3 on the same chart and reached No. 8 on Spotify’s Top Song Debut Global Chart. Their tracks often go viral on social media platforms, with “STEREOTYPE” (2021) being used in more than 48.1K videos on TikTok alone.

STAYC continuously showcases new and fresh sides in their concepts and releases. Through the members’ striking visuals, distinctive vocal tones, and masterful stage performances, the group has quickly become one of K-Pop’s most-loved acts with an ever-growing fan base, despite being a younger group.

And in response to the voracious demand from “SWITH” (the name of STAYC’s fans) who want to catch these captivating performances in the flesh, STAYC embarked on their debut world tour “STAYC 1ST WORLD TOUR [TEENFRESH]” in September, which will bring them to a total of 11 cities in the U.S. and Asia.

Their two-day domestic concert in Seoul was extremely well-received and sold out within a minute. The group also successfully sold out three major U.S. cities—Seattle, San Fransisco, and LA, which once again reaffirms STAYC’s global popularity.

SWITH in Singapore can anticipate STAYC’s signature high-energy stages, fresh charms, and irresistible music during their concert. Tickets for “2024 STAYC 1ST WORLD TOUR [TEENFRESH] IN SINGAPORE” will go on sale on 14 November (Tuesday) at 12PM via ticketmaster.sg, +65 3158 8588, and all SingPost outlets.

P1Harmony wow-ed the audience with their charm during Singapore concert!

Singapore, 2023P1Harmony finally brought “P1USTAGE H : P1ONEER” Concert Tour to Singapore on 17 September at The Theatre at Mediacorp. There was never a dull moment during the two-and-a-half-hour show.

Since P1Harmony’s debut in 2020, the sextet consisting of member Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Intak, Soul and Jongseob shone with their diversity, and their international fanbase have been growing tremendously. This will be their first time performing on our sunny island and Singapore’s P1ece(P1Harmony’s fandom name; which means that the fans are small pieces coming together to create a full piece, it means that the ‘last piece’ to P1Harmony’s perfection is the fans who are indispensable) are beyond excited to finally meet them.

Starting off the show on a high note, the boy band stepped onto the stage and performed ‘Look At Me Now’, ‘Back Down’ and ‘Scared’. P1ece’s synchronised fan chants and screams filled the theatre. The boy band introduced themselves in English and even added a mix of “Singlish”, igniting laughter from the crowd.

Slowing down the atmosphere, P1Harmony serenaded the audience with ‘Me Too’. The audience waving along to the beats accompanied by the group melodious vocal was a beautiful scenery. Before the next performance, the boys proceeded to do some “skit” which have them telling each other and the crowd “I love you lah”.

The next video interlude showed the group playing a game on the big screen that involves the members completing various tasks like dancing, singing, winking and some tasks even needed the audience’s participation to succeed.

Proceeding to the next segment, the boy band returned with unit stages which showcased more of P1Harmony’s diversity. Theo sang for the audience his cover of the song ‘21 by Dean’, Soul brought us ‘Hug Me by Joon Il Jung’, Keeho belted out ‘Déjà vu by Beyonce’, Jiung performed his version of ‘Love Never Felt So Good by Michael Jackson’ and was joined by Soul and Keeho. Last but not least, Intak and Jongseob showcased their rap skill.

During the next ment, the boy group checked with the crowd how was their energy level, and the screams that returned were proofs that they were still hyped. They had the crowd sing along to some of covers they just performed, and Keeho even up-ed the challenge, showing his R&B style and asked the crowd to try singing along.

Bringing the heat up again, the group brought out more of their hits like ‘Secret Sauce’ and ‘Follow Me’, while the crowd jumped along with the boy band. Keeho commented that because the audience were giving them so much energy, they wanted to return the energy with a surprise but asked the fans not to have too much expectation. He mentioned that as his birthday is in September, they should have a little birthday party together. He had fans who were born in the same month stood up and he even asked if they were sure they are September babies and teased that he will have to see their IDs.

Continuing the night, the boy band performed ‘Gotta Get Back’, ‘Love Me For Me’ and ‘Doom Du Doom’. The audience even did the dance together during the chorus of ‘Gotta Get Back’. Jiung asked Singapore’s P1ece if they love him and the crowd chorused back “Yes’, he then replied that he loves them more.

Arriving at the end of the show, the group came back to the stage after an encore chant. They were dressed in black casual fit and bided farewell to Singapore’s P1ece. The group thanked the fans for their energy and promised that they will return again soon. They exited the stage and when the crowd assumed it was the end, the boy band surprised the audience by returning through the side entrance and went into the crowd as they performed ‘Swagger’.

P1Harmony definitely wow-ed the audience with their impeccable performance, audience engagement, fan service and charm. We are looking forward to meeting P1Harmony in Singapore again soon!
