ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR ‘FATE’ IN SINGAPORE

Singapore, 2024 – The rising sensation South Korea boy group, Enhypen was in Singapore for their two nights concert on the 20th and 21st January for the Fate In Asia world tour. The group consists of seven members: Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Niki.

The concert was held at The Singapore Indoor Stadium with over 12,00 fans from different ages, some even traveling from other countries just to catch the concert. The group performed songs from their debut album till their latest album, ‘Orange Blood’ capturing the hearts of many with their amazing synchronization. In total they performed 24 songs within the span of 3 hours that not only displayed their talent but also their versatility through the different genres of songs.

Since this was their first time performing in Singapore, they prepared many different segments for their fans – Engenes. Member Jake and Jay prepared a special segment just for their Singaporean fans – a collaboration where Jake covered the song, ‘Love Yourself’ by Justin Bieber while Jay played the guitar. It touched many fans’ heart as Jake once sang the song during his audition, and is now singing it in front of thousands of fans which showed how far he has made it as an idol.

While they were performing ‘Tamed-Dashed’ a song from their 1st studio album, ‘Dimension-Dilemma’, they threw a football off the stage. The lucky fan that managed to catch the ball walked away with handwritten signatures from the seven boys! From the same album they played a song called ‘Go Big or Go Home’ and had an in between segment where they spin a bottle and whoever it lands on must do a freestyle dance break while the rest of them try and follow along the dance moves.

Throughout the concert they made their audience feel very special with a lot of fan services as they interacted a lot with fans such as going down from the stage and walking along the standing pens section during the song ‘Polaroid Love’. Fans were able to see them up close and some were even able to get a one-on-one interaction with them personally. Not only that, they also showed off their aegyo to fans who were cheering to see it, much to the fans’ enjoyment. There were even times when the members took turns changing outfit just so that they could entertain the fans during breaks.

There was also a surprise in a form of a giant mascot of Pikachu while they were performing ‘One and Only’ – a collaboration between the group and Pokémon. It was adorable to see how each member interacted with the life-sized Pikachu that was on stage with them before sadly letting it go when the song came to an end.

As the saying goes ‘all good things must come to an end’, the members hinted that the concert was about to end as they playfully teased their fans by saying goodbye and asking if they should leave the stage or continue to stay. Of course, many fans started shouting for an encore. Before they continued with their last few songs, each of the members shared their thoughts on the two days concert they had here in Singapore.

“The thought of Engenes always cheering for us with such heat touched my heart”, Sunoo exclaimed. Jungwon then said, “The next time we come to Singapore we will try to beat the fans energy, so prepare for that!” he added on as he continued with a promise saying that they will come back next time again. Heeseung also teased the fans saying that they are preparing for a new album so keep a look out! One by one each members expressed their gratitude and appreciation towards the fans especially with the amount of love and support they had received in Singapore.

They then continued with their ending song ‘Karma’, a song that hyped the crowd up despite it being their last few moments on stage. They then continued by singing a surprise encore song one last time which was ‘Pass the mic’ where everyone jumped along, enjoying their last few minutes of the concert before it finally came to an end. The members took their time to wave at all the fans from different sections of the concert hall and then gathered for the final goodbye where they then bowed to everyone present that night.

It was definitely a memorable memory for many fans especially those who have been supporting them since their survival produced show, ‘I-Land’ till now! Enhypen made the wait worthwhile with their amazing performance, visuals, and personality. Let’s hope that they hold onto their promise of coming back here in the future. Till then, let us all support them for their upcoming comeback which will probably be happening anytime soon!
