Jakarta, 2017 – With the mission to tighten friendship between Korea and Indonesia, Embassy of Korea in Jakarta, Indonesia, will be holding Korea Festival 2017 this September. Supported by various Korean government based institutions, Ambassador of Korea for Indonesia, Cho Taiyoung, is optimistic to bring colorful charms of Korea through a series of events to Indonesian citizens.

This festival will begin with K-Content Expo 2017 held by KOCCA at Hall C JiExpo Kemayoran on September 2 and 3. In this event, more than 40 companies will exhibit creative contents from Korea in various fields, such as K-Pop, TV Content, Game, Animation & Character, Comic, and Beauty. The highlight of this event is KBS Music Bank in Jakarta with performances from EXO, NCT 127, B.A.P., Astro, and Girlfriend, accompanied by Park Bo Gum and Irene as the MCs. KBS Music Bank in Jakarta is promoted by Star Media Nusantara.

Super Junior D&E and actress Song Jihyo are also coming to Jakarta for Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo 2017 as ambassadors for this event. Held at Gandaria City Hall, Donghae and Eunhyuk will perform in a mini-concert format and Song Jihyo will also meet her fans through a fan sign.

Other events will also be organized to reach out to Indonesia citizens through various fields; K-Pop World Festival 2017, Korean Art Media and Installation Exhibition, and Korea Indonesia Film Festival 2017 by KCC Indonesia, K-Smile by KTO Jakarta, K-Food Festival by aT, and K-Fish Festival 2017 by KITA Jakarta. These events will be held throughout September as ‘Korea Month’ by the Embassy of Korea.
