Jakarta, 2017 – VIP are you ready? G-DRAGON will bring his second world tour to Jakarta on 3 September 2017! The leader of the hottest Korean band BIGBANG announced his return with his second world tour, G-DRAGON 2017 WORLD TOUR <ACT III, M.O.T.T.E>. He kicked-off his tour in Seoul, South Korea and has extended to 29 cities in Asia, Australia, North America and Europe.

‘M.O.T.T.E(母胎)’ means “mother’s womb” in Korean, which could also mean “from birth”. This is also an acronym of ‘Moment Of Truth The End’ and it refers to the moment of truth, truth itself, loneliness and anguish hidden behind the glamorous life from his massive success. Act III represents the third decade of his life and the third stage of his career commenced by the release of his self-titled album ‘Kwon Ji Yong’.

G-DRAGON debuted as a solo artist with the release of ‘Heartbreaker’. The album was a success with more than 200.000 copies sold and earned Album of The Year from 2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards, while the single of the same name became a number-one hit. G-DRAGON later formed a duo with fellow Big Bang member T.O.P to record and release the album ‘GD&TOP’ (2010), which contained the top hits “High High“, “Oh Yeah“, and “Knock Out” where the album debuted at number-one on Gaon Album Chart. His first EP ‘One of a Kind’ (2012) was drawing positive receptions, placing first in Billboard World Album Chart and became the highest-selling album by a Korean soloist since his own album Heartbreaker. In support of his first EP, he embarked on his One of a Kind World Tour visiting 9 countries and 13 cities in 2013, gathering a total of 570,000 fans.

After touring extensively, he went back to prepare for his second studio album ‘Coup D’état’ (2013) featuring collaborations with top musicians such as Diplo, Baauer, Boys Noize, Sky Ferreira, Siriusmo, Zion.T, Lydia Paek, and label-mate Jennie Kim. Recently G-DRAGON released his self-titled album ‘Kwon Ji Yong’ that marks his first solo music after four years with ‘Untitled, 2014’ as the lead single. The lyrics of the album show the genuine “Kwon Ji Yong” side of G-DRAGON going through dilemmas and loneliness like an ordinary adult experiencing growth pains.

Recognized as one of the most influential leaders in music and fashion in his country, G-DRAGON was named by Forbes in 2016 as the most influential person under 30 in Asia’s entertainment and sports. Producing not only for BIGBANG but also for his and his bandmates’ solo releases, G-DRAGON has written 23 number one songs.
