Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore Achieves Massive Success with Thai Festival 2026, Drawing Over 80,000 Attendees to Celebrate the Creative Economy

Singapore, 2026 – The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, in collaboration with Team Thailand and private sector partners, has successfully concluded the highly anticipated Thai Festival 2026.

Held from July 10 to 12 at the Royal Thai Embassy, the event drew a massive crowd of over 80,000 attendees. The three-day festival received an overwhelming response from Singaporeans, the Thai expat community, and international tourists.

Organized under the theme “Creative Life & Creative Heartbeat,” the festival aimed to promote Thailand’s vibrant creative economy.

The Thai Festival has traditionally been an annual flagship event that Singaporeans and expats eagerly look forward to. After disappearing during the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival gradually made its return. Following a highly successful comeback last year, the 2026 edition returned on a much grander scale, generating massive excitement and anticipation for what next year will bring.

A “Beyond Festival” Ecosystem

Evolving into a “beyond festival” experience, the event now serves as a strategic pathway and a vital bridge for Thai businesses and entrepreneurs to shine in the Singaporean market.

The atmosphere throughout the venue was vibrant and bustling, with more than 100 participating Thai brands, artisans, and vendors showcasing their offerings to immense interest from consumers. Vendors experienced phenomenal sales that exceeded expectations, with many stalls completely selling out of their merchandise before the festival concluded.

Among the notable brands participating this year was INGU, a Thai skincare brand that has recently gone viral on TikTok. Its presence drew significant attention from beauty enthusiasts looking for innovative Thai skincare solutions.

In the culinary zone, the festival proudly welcomed Plu Restaurant, a celebrated Michelin-rated dining establishment from Thailand, offering attendees an exquisite taste of high-quality gastronomy.

Another major crowd favorite was Emily’s Mee Kai Cheek. After a highly successful run at last year’s festival, the beloved eatery returned on a much larger scale this year and is now set to officially open its very own outlet in Singapore soon.

A major cultural highlight

A major cultural highlight that captivated the audience was the special “Chud Thai” exhibition showcasing the eight styles of Royal Thai dresses at the Elephant Hall on the second floor of the Embassy.

This exhibition was thoughtfully curated to honor the profound legacy of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, whose visionary foresight preserved and promoted Thai arts, culture, and high craftsmanship. Her enduring model for the national costume laid the vital groundwork for Thailand’s 2026 UNESCO ‘Chud Thai’ proposal.

Spotlighting a Dynamic Creative Economy

The main stage entertainment was meticulously curated to blend traditional Thai cultural performances with contemporary music. Traditional Thai heritage was beautifully conveyed through performances by the Chanakarn Thai Dance troupe and the Human Puppet troupe, Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, who presented the graceful “Rabam Si Phak” (Dance of the Four Regions).

On the musical front, Friday, July 10, kicked off with the vibrant sounds of the new generation of T-Pop artists from GMMTV. The crowd enjoyed energetic mini-concerts by the band FLIO and popular actor-singer Nanon Korapat Kirdpan.

Saturday, July 11, was dedicated to quality pop music. The lineup featured a performance by the local Thai Professional Network in Singapore’s band, THE DONIONS, followed by a powerful mini-concert by renowned artist Lham Somphol Rungphanit.

The festival concluded on a heartwarming note on Sunday, July 12. Musical performances by Thai Labour Volunteer’s ISAN Band and Friends of Thai Workers Association (Singapore)’s V&C Band delivered joy and fostered a strong sense of unity among Thais living abroad.

Her Excellency Mrs. Waraphannee Damrongmanee, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Singapore, presided over the opening ceremony. In her speech, she emphasized that today’s Thailand is defined by much more than its rich heritage, beautiful landscapes, and world-renowned cuisine.

She highlighted that the nation is increasingly driven by a dynamic, forward-looking creative economy. The Ambassador noted that large-scale events like the Thai Festival 2026 are vital reflections of the enduring and deep-rooted friendship between Thailand and Singapore.

By successfully increasing Thailand’s visibility and bridging economic opportunities, the Thai Festival 2026 fostered the people-to-people connections that form the very bedrock of bilateral ties, spanning trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange.
